Unibep SA will build a section of the S 19 expressway

“We are proud that we will implement the Ploski-Haćki section of the S 19 expressway. Together with our consortium members: Budrex company from the Unibep Group and Value Engineering, we are prepared for quality-oriented and timely completion of the investment” – said Leszek Gołąbiecki, President of the Management Board of Unibep SA.

The investment agreement was signed on 29 January 2021 at the headquarters of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Białystok.

“The agreement we signed today is a subsequent step towards completing the Via Carpatia route in Poland. This is the fourth agreement for construction of the S 19 expressway in Podlaskie voivodeship. Last year, we announced tenders for 10 sections of this expressway in Podlasie, which means that in the first half of 2021 we will sign more agreements”– informed Tomasz Żuchowski, acting as General Director for National Roads and Motorways.

Unibep SA is a leading construction company in Poland – according to various rankings it takes the 6th place in Poland in terms of revenue. The Infrastructure Branch of Unibep SA has been developing dynamically for several years. The employees of this company have implemented in the consortium PORR SA, i.a. the S 8 expressway section (on Warsaw-Białystok route), a large investment near Białystok (Junction Porosły), and the S 61 expressway section (near Szczuczyn); and as an independent company – large infrastructure projects in Podlasie, including national and regional roads in north-eastern Poland.

“As the main office of Unibep SA is located in Bielsk Podlaski, a dozen of kilometres away from the investment, we will be especially happy to run it, because in the long run it means better and safer access for all local residents from Białystok and the surrounding area and our employees who work in the office or in the Modular House Factory” – added Leszek Gołąbiecki.

Section Ploski-Haćki of S19 will be approx. 8.9 kilometres long and have two-lane roads in each direction. The section has been designed parallel to the existing national road No. 19. There will be two Travel Service Points (a pair) – Haćki East and Haćki West. Thirteen engineering structures will be built, nine of which will serve passages for animals. The bridge over the Orlanka River (and its floodplains) will also have a similar function.

The reception of permit for this road investment is presumed for the third quarter of 2022, while the construction itself is scheduled for the years 2022-2024. The cost of the investment is approx. PLN 305.4 million gross.
