Bank Millennium will have new headquarters in Wrocław

One of Bank Millennium’s three headquarters will have a new address in Wrocław. Relocation has been scheduled for Q4 2021 to the modern City Forum 2 office complex at ul. Traugutta 45. The arrangement of the new space will help dispersed teams to cooperate with each other more closely. The advantages of the building itself and the surrounding area include a convenient location, flexibility, functionality and a high standard of the applied environmentally friendly and technological solutions.

Bank Millennium has selected a LEED GOLD*-certified building for its new headquarters. The certificate is a guarantee of the highest quality, comfortable workplace conditions, energy efficiency and environmentally friendly solutions. In accordance with its ESG strategy, by relocating to the new headquarters, the Bank, as a Poland 2021 climate leader, contributes to reducing its adverse environmental impact.

– A key factor that needed to be taken into consideration in our decision-making process on selecting the new headquarters was a large floor plan that would enable efficient communication and correct planning of comfortable workplaces for employees. Other factors that played a role in our selection included the fact that the building features a number of energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions. Among them is a LED lighting system with sensors and light intensity control, better ventilation and a highly efficient air conditioning system. In line with the high fit-out standard of the building, natural and recycled materials have been used in its interiors. A number of wooden elements and plants have also been used, making our office environmentally friendly and reducing the carbon footprint of our relocation project – says Weronika Paksoy of the Real Estate Department at Bank Millennium.

Serving as the main guidelines for the Bank, the notions of ergonomics, functionality, comfort, mobility and environmentalism were taken into account by the Wrocław architectural firm entrusted by the Bank with designing its new space. A significant design element is the use of brand elements and colors to emphasize the corporate ambiance of the interior.

Driven by the spirit of the times, work in the new headquarters will follow the rules of freely accessible “unassigned workplaces”. On an as-needed basis, employees will be able to meet in conference rooms (of which there are 3 times more than in the Bank’s current location). The offices also have shared relaxation and rest zones, pleasant kitchens and coffee corners.

A significant and large part of the new building will be occupied by the Contact Center team. Special sound-dampening solutions have been used to accommodate the needs of members of this team to let them establish relationships and talk at ease with clients through remote channels in comfortable conditions.

– We consider the establishment of this new ultra-modern location for our Contact Center in Wrocław to be another investment in our employees. I am sure that even in the current hybrid work model it will serve as an important factor affecting the quality of the services we provide to our clients – argues Rafał Dywan, Director of the Direct Banking Department at Bank Millennium.

One of the biggest advantages of the new location is the convenience of access it provides, including by means of public transport, from almost every part of the city and from outside Wrocław. Employees will be able to take advantage of plentiful amenities in the building, such as an ATM or a cafeteria located on the ground floor of the complex, a parking lot for 80 bicycles and parking spaces for company vehicles.

As might be expected of an innovative bank’s headquarters, the building has been fitted out with modern user-friendly technological solutions designed to provide employees with greater mobility, enable them to hold online conferences, control lighting and temperature, in line with the preferences of each team.

– Our new office building will have 32 conference rooms, some of them equipped with modern videoconference sets, installed with accessories making the room soundproof. Our day-to-day work tools will be aligned with the hybrid work model. Whether at home or in the office, we will have more opportunities to participate in team meetings – as if all participants were present in the same location – says Jakub Tomczyk, Director of the Wrocław IT Applications Management Department at Bank Millennium.

Along with the relocation, Bank Millennium is changing the address of its Wrocław headquarters, leaving the buildings occupied so far. The Bank’s other two headquarters, in Gdańsk and Warsaw, will remain in their current locations.

* LEED certificates are awarded by the US Green Building Council, which in the assessment process takes into consideration such key factors as the level of energy consumption, efficient water management, quality of the internal environment and location and transport.
