JYSK opens a store in Homepark Targówek

Homepark Targówek, a retail park in Warsaw, has signed up a new tenant JYSK, which has leased more than 1,500 sq m of retail space. The transaction was brokered by global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

JYSK is a homeware retailer operating internationally. The JYSK group currently has more than 3,000 stores in 51 countries. It has been present in Poland since 2000. The company has been going from strength to strength, with more than ten store openings across Poland each year.

We are pleased not only with the addition of the store of a well-known and much-loved European brand in Poland to the portfolio of Homepark Targówek, but also with the fact that JYSK perfectly aligns with the offer of Homepark Targówek. At present, this shopping destination is second-to-none in the Warsaw conurbation for the range of products for home construction and refurbishment or homeware. The benefits of such a broad offer appeal to both customers and store owners, comments Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE, Pradera.

Global retail chain JYSK, which already has 250 stores in Poland, has decided to open another one in Homepark Targówek, the largest retail park in Warsaw. The offer of JYSK perfectly aligns with the concept of the park. Both this transaction and previous deals in Homepark Targówek are evidence of the strong position of retail parks in recent months, says Ada Budynek, Senior Negotiator, Cushman & Wakefield.

Homepark Targówek has an area of over 74,545 sq m and is anchored by specialist and popular DIY and homeware brands. Thanks to its unique tenant-mix, the retail park also offers fashion (TK Maxx, CCC), electronics (EURO RTV AGD, Sony Centre), and sports stores (Sports Direct), as well as products for children (Smyk Megastore and Świat Dziecka) and a wide range of pet products (Maxi Zoo and Kakadu). Its offer is complemented by popular drugstores: Rossmann and Superpharm. Other tenants of Homepark Targówek include a Lidl store selling a wide range of consumer staples, an ENEL-MED clinic, a fitness club and F&B outlets.

Homepark Targówek is property-managed by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, which offers six business lines covering the whole property cycle: Property Development, Transactions, Consulting, Valuation, Property Management and Investment Management. Through its services BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland focuses on supporting clients in gaining a competitive advantage.
