C&W switches off lights in office buildings for #godzinadlabałtyku
On 27 March, global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield will switch off lights for an hour in some office buildings and shopping centres under its management. The aim of the symbolic 60 minutes in the dark is to promote the WWF’s Earth Hour campaign, which is being held this year under the slogan #godzinadlabałtyku (an hour for the Baltic).
The purpose of this year’s campaign of the WWF is to take action against destructive processes taking place in the Baltic Sea and to protect its endangered marine ecosystem. The campaign’s key focus is on sustainable fishing, recovering ghost nets, preventing formation of dead zones, developing plans for the protection of protected areas and taking action for Baltic mammals.
On 27 March at 8.30pm all lights will go out in office buildings, shopping centres will switch off their illuminated façades, information about the campaign will be distributed among tenants, and employees will encourage everyone to spread word about the campaign and sign a petition to protect the Baltic Sea.
Included in the campaign to publicize the issues of the Baltic Sea are the following office buildings: Rondo 1, The Warsaw HUB, Focus, Nefryt, Topaz, Kopernik Office Buildings, Warsaw Towers, Centrum Królewska, Bitwy Warszawskiej Business Center, Saski Point, Saski Crescent, Proximo I & II, Sienna Center, Wspólna, Atrium1, Atrium Garden, Andersia Tower, Waterside, Nowogrodzka Square, Neopark, Neptun, Wave, Pegaz, Sagittarius, Dubois, Matchpoint A&B, Grzybowska Park, Mokotowska Square, North Gate, Bema Plaza, Crown Square, Z1 Zabierzów, Wadowicka 8W, and shopping centres Złote Tarasy and CH Jantar, for which Cushman & Wakefield is the property manager.
